The EB-5 Investor Visa Program was renewed by the US Government with the EB–5 Reform and Integrity Act of 2022. This amendment makes significant improvements to the EB-5 program and reauthorizes the Regional Center program for five years.
The EB-5 Regional Center program provides an opportunity for qualified immigrant investors and their immediate families (children up to the age of 21) to obtain US green cards and permanent residency through a one-time investment of $800,000 USD into a US business that creates 10 or more American jobs.
For 30 years from 1990 to 2021 the investment level was $500,000 in a TEA and $1,000,000 otherwise. This bill sets those levels at $800,000 for rural, TEA or Infrastructure projects, and $1,050,000 for other projects. These investment levels will be adjusted for inflation every 5 years, starting January 1, 2027.

Once a foreign investor applies to the EB-5 program, there is typically an 18-24 month wait time before the investor and his or her family receive conditional green cards. After receiving approval, the investment must be deployed for at least five years before an application to remove conditions can be approved and the investor receives a permanent green card.
